Call to Order
Trustee Rausch, as Chairman called the regular meeting of the Allen Township Trustees to order on August 5, 2019
Pledge of Allegiance
Trustee Rausch began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

FINANCES & ADMINISTRATION
The Fiscal Officer read the minutes of July 8 2019, said minutes were approved as read.
The Fiscal Officer provided each member of the Board with a list of recent receipts and pending expenditures for review. There was a motion by Trustee Chapman and a second by Trustee McCreary, and upon certification by the Fiscal Officer that appropriate funds were available, the pending expenditures were approved. The Fiscal Officer also provided the most recent payroll reports for the Board’s review. The board reviewed the previous month’s bank reconciliation and verified the sequence of the checks.
Fiscal Officer, Lori LaCella provided an update on Community Day, September 21st. The tents, tables, chairs and bounce house are all ordered with McAuliffe Ace Hardware. The face painting has been hired.
The current contract with Heritage Cooperative expire on April 30, 2020. The current price is $1.299
PUBLIC FORUM

ZONING BUSINESS
Charlotte Blumenschein noted LUC were meeting with them to do an overview of the 33 plan. Also, there would be a joint meeting with board of appeals to go through the zoning book on September 19th at 7:00
Mr. Streng noted Allison completed the compilation of the updated Allen Township Zoning Resolutions, LUC printed and Allison completed the books.

SHERIFF REPORT
No updates.
ROAD BUSINESS
Road Superintendent, Nick Johnson noted the cabin is almost complete and will be meeting with a log cabin repair expert to discuss better preservation.
Road Superintendent, Nick Johnson provided an update on the following projects.
Completing the erosion job on Buck Allen and Boord Rd. has ditch work to be done.
Second cut has been completed and the township landscaping mulch and trimming is complete.
Road Superintendent, Nick Johnson noted the Fire Department pavement is to be sealed this week and will be getting an estimate for the township parking lot blacktop.
FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES
Chief, Steve Brose noted in the past the Township has reimbursed for Paramedic School at 100% with payback at $1.00 per pay. The request is to use $1000 from the education/training grant and will not be required to reimburse. Trustee McCreary made the motion to approve paying the cost $1000 and Trustee Rausch seconded the approval.
Chief, Steve Brose reported Horton offering 3% interest rate on 2019 Ford F-550 4X4 V10 Ambulance vehicle prepayments. Price is including lettering but not cot, the price is $232,560, Trustee Chapman made the motion to approve and Trustee Rausch seconded the approval. Trade in had not been discussed as of yet.
Chief, Steve Brose noted he had met with county engineer regarding radio tower testing.
Chief, Steve Brose discussed the CAD policy and guidelines.

There being no further business, Trustee McCreary moved to adjourn the meeting, Trustee Chapman offered a second. Upon a roll call vote, all were in favor, the meeting was adjourned.
